Pentik was founded in 1971 in Posio, amidst the clarity and tranquility of the northern wilderness. That same landscape is still reflected in the way we use colors, shapes and materials. When Anu Pentik moved to Posio with her family, something unique was born: ceramics, art and Nordic design. More than half a century later, that same creative passion continues to drive us forward.

Pentik is a story of will and skill, thirst for life and passion for art. The company started in 1971 practically by accident, like many other successful companies have done: Anu Pentik's enthusiasm for ceramics and leather crafts began to bring home the bacon. The Pentik tableware gained reputation for their round shapes and handicraft feel.

Initially known for its handmade ceramics, Pentik has since evolved into a brand that embraces a complete lifestyle approach. From the early days of creating unique ceramic pieces like the imperfect, yet beautiful Kaamoskivi chandelier - inspired by the rugged Lapland landscape - we continue to blend nature and design in everything we do. Today, our collections reflect a timeless love for craft, creativity, and the simplicity of Nordic living, while still honoring our roots in hand-crafted ceramics.
