The soft light and glow of candles instantly creates a warm ambience. Candles add something special to evenings at home and complete festive moments. They also make wonderful gifts. We make a large share of our candles in Finland
Close to the Arctic Circle, next to our ceramics factory in Posio, is our candle workshop, where much of our candle collection is made by hand. Candles are cast by pouring a coloured, molten stearin-paraffin blend into moulds that we make ourselves. These Finnish candles come in many styles, sizes and colours, including a heartfelt heart candle, romantic flower candles shaped like roses or peonies, and the classic Jäkälä-patterned candle. The beautiful handmade candles burn cleanly without dripping. They look wonderful as they are, but truly come into their own when lit. Alongside our Finnish candles, the selection includes lantern candles sized for our lanterns, tealights and ball candles for tealight holders and candle holders, and traditional pillar candles in different sizes for creating striking arrangements.
