The blooming Christmas.
Everyone's Christmas is different. It's built like a casually sprawling bouquet, with flowers of different sizes and colours forming a beautiful whole. In the same way, Christmas is made up of bits and pieces from childhood Christmases, decorations collected over the years and new traditions of our own. When designing the Kimara patterns, Minna Niskakangas went back to her own Christmas memories. The Christmas textiles that bring warmth to the home and dress it up for the festive season are particularly strongly associated with them. Strong colours feel good in the dark season. That's why Minna painted bright red carnations, tulips and berry arrangements in watercolours. Kimara pays homage to tradition, but brings it smoothly into the modern day.
The green Kimara tapestry style placemat is made of acrylic coated 60 % polyester and 40 % cotton. Measures 35x45 cm.
