The "Lapin kukka" (Flower of Lapland) napkin collection allows Lapland's fleeting flowering season to continue from summer to winter and from autumn to the following summer. The blue and white napkins are made of paper, so they can be disposed of by burning or with bio-waste. The package contains 20 napkins measuring 25x25 cm.
Lapin kukka
In Lapland, everything blooms quickly, but all the more beautifully. The sun, shining through the day and night, makes flowers and people alike take full advantage of the most beautiful time of the year. Lasse Kovanen painted watercolor depictions of Lapland's plants – saxifrages, dwarf cornels, dwarf birch branches, and, of course, globe flowers – creating a surface that resembles an early summer forest floor in bloom. The blue and white color scheme brings both a Mediterranean and Nordic atmosphere to the pattern.
