The designer Minna Niskakangas has also taken out her colour palette again, mixing the delicate pink with the dark shades of polar night. The ink added to the wet acrylic paint spread smoothly, creating grainy, almost burnt-looking patterns. The flowers of the Ruusumalva (Vervain mallow) pattern spread out from the centre towards the edges like a tree stretching its branches after a long winter's nap. In the home, the Ruusumalva collection spreads in the form of tableware, fabrics, bed linen, kitchen textiles and cushion covers.
