Designer Minna Niskakangas was originally inspired by them, and the graphic pattern was drawn in a sketchbook. In the gloom of the polar night, the grain field rests and gathers strength for the next growing season. We humans can do the same. It feels most comfortable in a home that feels and looks like our own, down to the small details. The new, dramatic dark-based colouring of the Vilja (Grain) pattern feels grounding and its subtly shimmering bronze print creates a festive look to the table settings.
