Fields of ripe grain swaying in the summer breeze is a hypnotic sight that’s unique to the north. Designer Minna Niskakangas was originally inspired by them, and the graphic pattern was drawn in a sketchbook. In the gloom of the polar night, the grain field rests and gathers strength for the next growing season. We humans can do the same. It feels most comfortable in a home that feels and looks like our own, down to the small details. Light a tealight in a candle glass designed on the basis of the Vilja (Grain) pattern and curl up on the sofa under a blanket. Spring will soon be here again.
