Springtime delights. When the first bulbous plants emerge from the still partly frozen ground in early spring, a smile comes to even the most winter-weary faces. Their small, cheerful-looking flowers bring with them a huge amount of joy and inspiration. Minna Niskakangas painted the Helmililja pattern using the traditional tempera technique, a painting technique characterised by a subtle translucency that creates extremely beautiful, delicate details.
