Hiillos Jacquard Cushion Cover

The Hiillos cushion covers are woven with sparkling lurex yarn, which gives the fabric a subtle glow – like embers still smoldering in the darkness of night. The white jacquard cushion cover of the Hiillos-series measures 45x45 cm making it a perfect fit with Pentik's 48x48 cm inner cushion, which gives the cushion a plush look with no extra space in the corners. The cushion cover is made of 36% acrylic, 33% polyester, 26% recycled cotton and 5 % lurex.

From embers to fabric. Sometimes design is born in the heat of the sauna. Designer Minna Niskakangas got her inspiration for the Hiillos (Ember) pattern from the glowing embers and black ashes in the sauna stove. The pattern's journey to fabric began in a stone lithography workshop that our designers visited. The soft shapes in the pattern were painted with a pastry brush onto limestone, from which professional printers created printing plates. The resulting prints were scanned and simplified into a modern pattern suitable for textiles.
