The small but resilient lichen.
Lichen usually live in rough conditions like tree trunks and rocks. But they can also be picky and need clean air to grow. That´s why they flourish in Finnish nature. While designing the Jäkälä (Lichen) collection, Minna Niskakangas thought her childhood near forests. She painted an organic and ornamental print originally on plywood.
Black Jäkälä kitchen towel is 47x70 cm in size and made of 50% linen and 50% cotton. Machine-washable at 60 degrees.
