The dandelion seeds floating in the air symbolise the seeds of a dream for ceramic artist Anu Pentik. They travel with the wind for a time and chance determines where they will eventually land. "You never know. Some seeds sink into good soil, others don't. But there is always hope," Anu believes. In the end, they sprout beauty – dreams that come true. Lasse Kovanen painted a pattern based on Anu's Dandelion sculptures, glowing with strong, warm and encouraging shades of yellow. The Voikukka (Dandelion) collection includes fabrics, tablecloths and cushion covers, as well as Studio ceramics designed by Anu.
The Voikukka Studio plate belongs to Pentik Studio collection, all of whose ceramics are made in small batches and decorated by hand at the world's northernmost ceramics factory in Posio. The Voikukka Studio plate has a diamater of 34 cm.
