This year we wanted to create a Christmas collection that can set an atmosphere for all kinds of homes and traditions. For the expectation of Christmas, festive moments and various present-related needs. For your Christmas, your traditions.

Pentik's ceramics factory, the northernmost in the world, was officially opened on 4 October 1974. That is 50 years ago! All the important things grow and improve in 50 years: love, joy of life, longing for beauty, craftsmanship. When the factory was founded, it was said that Anu and Topi Pentikäinen would show that modern large-scale production is possible in a small and remote municipality. Today, Pentik is the only major ceramics manufacturer in Finland and a significant employer in Posio. Half a century has taught us that clay can turn to gold and dreams come true. 

The Tuntu (Feel) ceramics series is full of northern feeling. A feeling conveyed by the people who made the products. A feeling that we are part of nature and a feeling that we want to pass on from generation to generation. Made in the middle of a northern forest, the products are designed to feel good in the hand and to transmit joy, comfort and strength to their owner - just like nature.
